Leader’s Manual

LEADER PARTICIPATION

The leader can and should participate in the games. But, when he does, he should also remember his responsibility as leader.

In doing the Group Sets, he refrains from answering the questions himself unless someone in the group specifically asks him.' The reasons for this are discussed elsewhere.

In doing the Pairs Sets, there are other things to think about.

If there are an odd number of people in the group, and the host or hostess is already engaged, the leader selects the "left-over" person as a partner and becomes a member of the group.

If there are an even number of people in the group, the leader can find a pair preferably where there are two women or two men together and ask for permission to join in.

Despite his participation with a particular pair, however, he must always remember the rest of the group and be ready to excuse himself to help anyone else who might need him.
